A Wednesday Winner: Inspiration - Late, but Definitely Worth a Read!

Two weeks ago, I intended for Wednesdays to be 'Wednesday Winners,' dedicated to a post highlighting inspirational stories about folks who overcame great odds to run, but somehow, I just couldn't seem to get my schedule moving along smoothly....(thankfully, my feet HAVE been moving, even if my fingers haven't!)

In spite of this writing interruption, I'd like to invite you to read a really cool story about a man who not only defied the odds, but introduced a training technique now used by many. Cliff Young, a lifelong farmer, made his debut at 61 in an Australian endurance race.

Here's his story.....

So the next time you think you... just... can't... go... on..., think of Mr. Young, and his dedication to our sport and humanity...

My Thankful Three
Today, I am thankful for:
  • Stories like Mr. Young's that continue to inspire
  • The flexibility of blog friends and visitors, and your willingness to read on, in spite of this week's late Wed post. [ t/y! :) ]
  • Really comfy, breathable running hats that keep my fair-skinned scalp sunburn-free in the FL sunshine
Happy running, friends...

Robin
