6 Comments.... thanks!:
I know. I hate it when my routine changes, too! So...I can't wait to hear about your socks. I need new ones, so I'll be looking forward to your review. :)
PS: Found you on Lisa's blog. :)
I get it with the schedule thing! This week's schedule will definitely be changed for me. I would normally run today, but can't make it three days in a row! My legs are begging for rest! I ran the Human Race Saturday (alone), but I did it! It worked out perfect for my training schedule though because I was scheduled to run six miles on Saturday anyway. I was worried about running the Race for the Cure on the following day, but that was a sentimental one for me as my mom is an 11 year survivor - such an awesome experience to be a part of that! I ended up with my "personal best" and it made it that much better! Did you order the t-shirt from Nike? I'm wishing I would have ordered one!
I'm not sure I've commented here yet... I just discovered your blog over the last couple of weeks... and am glad I did!
I hear what you're saying. I'm not a "run every day" runner either. For me, it's my feet that can't handle it. So, I have a *definite* routine to get 3 runs in and 2 cross-training days each week... and TWO rest days. I hate it when my routine gets "messed" with!
I've found that being a creature of habit is key to being a runner! :) I feel all discombobulated when I mess up my routine. Great job running the race but don't let a skipped run screw you up too much, just replace a day somewhere in there and call it good.
I do so much better when I am on a schedule! I just love it!
Hee hee, I tried a back-to-back once. I think it was 5 miles at lunch and 7 in the evening. Yeah. That didn't go to well. I think it's wise to take it easy! :)
Hi Kerrie, Glad you found the Turtles blog - always something to chat about over here. :-) I LOVE new friends and my new Thorlo socks; will definitely write about them in the next few days. (long over-due actually)
Kathy, you did such an awesome job w/ your 2 races back-to-back... wow! You are my inspiration! God Bless your Mom.
Faith Ann, thanks for finding and commenting on the Turtles blog - love new friends! I've read a few of your posts over on Lisa's blog -sounds like we have similar running qualities.
Thanks, Morgan...dear Orlando friend. Yes, being a creature of habit seems to help-though frustrating (especially this wk).
Kim, 5 at lunch and 7 in the evening?? Are you nuts?? (rhetorical) :-) Learned your lesson, right?? hee hee
