Need a Little Inspiration?

Like the flutter of butterfly wings, small differences may lead to big changes.... Are YOU ready?

What happens when you decide to take control of your life, make those positive changes you know you need to make, and choose to walk or run?

Join Robin, who
transitioned from walking to running in late 2008, as she explores the ups and downs of the running lifestyle and their impact on her health, spirit, and perspective. Find a little inspiration and share some, too!

Welcome to the Turtles blog. So glad you stopped by! Hope you'll visit often, join our Tribe, invite friends, and share your story with us!

Own your journey.... One run at a time.

WELCOME, NEW FRIENDS!

It's great to have new friends in our supportive community of runners in all sizes and shapes, faces and paces.

THANKS for joining the Turtle Tribe.....

Looking forward to getting to know you. :-)

ALL IN!

Okay, I put my money (lots of it, unfortunately!) where my mouth is and received this message from active.com:

Your registration for the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon 2010 has been confirmed

Yes, friends... I'm all in!  Now, if you'll excuse me, my running shoes are calling my name....

My Thankful Three
Today, I am thankful for:

- Awesome running weather
- The Biggest Loser TV show... so motivational!
- Coffee (what can I say? Love the stuff!)

Happy running, friends....

Robin

Yay! That race sounds so fun! We were signed up for the January Disney race, but now we can't go and are out $240! I don't think we'll be signing up for any Disney races in the future ;)

OK girl, now the fun begins! So excited for you. I was to have started half marathon training this month but now it's been pushed back because of my injury. I would like to run the half in Disneyland sometime.

Thanks, guys!

Emma, yes - we definitely have to meet in person one of these days! (Because we live oh-so-far-apart! LOL) :-)

Kerrie T, join us! :-)

Zoe, you're a 13.1 expert now...will be looking to you for advice. :-)

Yes, time to train hard(er)... have been increasing my Long Run Sunday mileage... pushing to 9 miles this weekend. Ugh! Knees have been really cranky as I'm increasing, so I need to be extra careful!

Lisa, that's a bummer about the injury and set-back. I'd love to do the Disneyland 1/2 also...Hubby LOVES CA, so we'll get out there and have to run it together (though you'll leave me in the dust!)... will see you at the finish line. LOL

Morgan, I love when you annoy me... never stop! :-) :-)

Kim, that so stinks about you guys not making it here in January. Was hoping you would... are the registrations transferable? Since the half is closed, maybe someone on one of our blogs will be interested in buying yours from you?? If anyone's interested, let us know!

Amy W, thanks for stopping by the turtles blog (or coming out of lurkdom??)... glad to hear you're running it, too. Keep an eye out for more info about the get-together before the race. :-)

Hugs to you guys!!
