A HUGE thank you to everyone who entered the Turtles first-ever giveaway! It's been fun reading all of your comments, ideas, and suggestions, and meeting you via e-mail/comments on your blogs! I look forward to creating lots of new posts, based on your feedback!
I enlisted the help of "Hubby" tonight, to randomly select our winner. Here's how it went:
1. I entered everyone's name into an Excel spreadsheet in the order each comment was received/appeared.
2. Next, Hubby added a new column to the left and added 1- 183 (wow!), to represent the number of comments.
3. Then, he hid your names. You can see this in the picture above, as he changes the font from black to white.)
4. He sorted column #1, to scramble the numbers.
5. He thought for a moment. (Such a good thinker, this guy!) :-)
and chose #67 (in honor of my birthday, which is fast approaching...that's my birth year, not age btw - LOL!).
6. When he revealed the names, we learned that Tobi (Busy Running Mama) is the winner of the Turtles giveaway, which is extra special because she was one of the Turtles' earliest followers, a great bloggy friend, and has been on the injured-reserved list for a while. Hopefully, this will make her day as she works through physical therapy and getting her awesome self back on the road!

Yay for me!!! I was laying in bed, icing my shoulder, fiddling with my Iphone, when I pulled up google reader and read this!!! I'm sooooo excited and know that I will enjoy all my great swag!!!! Thanks Robin!!! Can I win the foodie one too??? Haha just kiddin!!!

Congrats to the winner and thanks for the nice comment on my blog last week Robin. I look forward to getting more inspiration from you and your friends! I am fairly new to the running world (~9 months or so) but I got in 3 5k's last summer and hope to do more this year. I'll let you know how it goes!

So glad you found the Turtles blog... you're in good company, with many of us being 'newish' runners - within a year or two - with a number of longer term athletes thrown in for good measure. We come in all shapes, sizes, abilities, ages, reasons, and goals, an awesome group, to be sure!!!

I've got your mailing info now, and yes, I thought you'd choose the RoadID... was pretty sure you already had RW magazine, smart runner that you are. :-) Sorry you didn't win the foodie giveaway, too (LOL). THAT would've looked weird, right?! I'll get your package in the mail later this week, once I get past this neck/shoulder thing. grrr....
