Feeling more confident with every run. Started off for a 3 miler yesterday and felt so great I did an extra mile for fun! LOVE posting those bigger runs on DM so I can watch that little graph go up up up!

A little discouraged this week due to a sore muscle in my thigh. Oddly, had the very same issue this time last year. Hoping that rest this weekend will get me back on track next week! We are supposed to get snow this weekend (it never snows here). Everyone is making the mad dash to grocery store for bread and milk :). Hope everyone has a great weekend!

It's going pretty good so far this week. I took yesterday off but I logged 12 miles so far this week, and I'm planning on doing several tonight. I've got to hit 60 miles by Sunday for my own January Miles Challenge, and I've got 6 to go! Almost there!

I was invited to a Feb 100 challenge on DM, so that should help me towards the 500. January is shaping up well, less mileage than I thought, but that's ok. I'm using Dr. Google to diagnose my "nueroma" and trying to find a better shoe. Then I just need a mule to bring it to me.

It's all good here.

I was in kind of a funk at the beginning of the week, but have gotten back in the groove. I've only logged 7 miles this week, but will add to it this weekend with my long run. Love this challenge - so much fun!!

I'm pleased with my progress...should be at a little over 60 miles by Sunday. :)

I'm in Tall Moms 1000+mile challenge, but am now having to take 6 weeks off due to a stress fracture. I'm worried about making the 1000 mile goal, but still want to have a goal to work towards. I wonder if I should switch.....

rubber7soul, Hope the thigh settles down quickly, and the snow doesn't last too long...looks pretty dreadful in many parts!

Kathy, A brief mileage week for you still leaves you with MANY miles for the year already, friend! Most of Jan has been a funk for me; starting to get back into the groove.. I think it's the new shirt! :-)

Anne, 60 miles! Awesome! How are you running w/ all that cold, cold weather up there?? And snow?? Fantastic mileage for the end of the first month!!

I had a decent week (5.5 miles so far), but slow month w/ a few unexpected aches and pains. I will do my long run Sun morning, with 12miles planned, which will put me at my weekly goal of 15+. My first Half Mary is weeks away, so I need to make sure those miles are accounted for. I'll post my monthly total after Sunday's run. Still a little behind, but will catch up.

Yay! I am happy to share that I finished out the week with 18 miles (the most so far this year), and 50 total for January...Woo Hoo! I'm only 10 behind my monthly goal of 60, AND I completed my first 12-mile long run. WOW!! I'm wondering: how long will I h-u-r-t???
