It's that time of the week again...
time to send our shout-outs to our fellow bloggy running buddies...
However, in the true spirit of collaboration, and to make sure
we don't leave anyone off the weekly shout-outs!...
Starting this week, I'd like to
send the first shout-out and HUG to everyone who's racing this weekend
and invite each of you
to tell us your race details in your comments.
That way, we don't*miss*anyone* and
you can share your race info right up to the last minute.
I happen to know of two runners who are racing this weekend, that I'll mention here, and then hopefully, they'll stop by with all the details for us:
Morgan is running the Gasparilla Marathon
Shelley is running the A & M Night Run
Good luck, ladies...! We'll be sending bloggy hugs your way!!
I also know that one of our local running buddies has put more notches on her ummm... running belt lately, with a new PR to list of racing accomplishments. Way to go, Kathy (FL)!!! Looking forward to all the details over our Princess Pasta dinner March 6th! :-)
Happy running, friends....
Robin

Thanks Robin! Looking forward to seeing you soon!!!
Good luck to everyone racing this weekend - Gasparilla sounds like so much fun!!
Thanks for the shout out Momma! :)
Alright Gasparilla dets - I'm shooting for the elusive 4 hours so everyone keep your fingers crossed! I ran the Half last year so I have a good feel for the course and I've trained well this cycle. Here's hoping it pays off!
I'm racing on Sunday. Running the Rock & Roll Mardi Gras half. I'm sooo excited.
I'm running a 5K this weekend in Savannah, GA (we live in Charleston, SC) to cross another state of the race-in-every-state list. My goal is to run at least 2miles of it, but hopefully the whole thing...just depends on how the baby is making me feel Saturday morning. Good luck to everyone this weekend!
Good luck with the races everyone!!
Good luck in your races everyone!!!
This will be my first ever 5K - and it's at night! Apparently there will be glow sticks galore. I have no idea what to expect and I'm nervous!!! Hoping to finish in under 40 minutes. Thanks for the shout out, Robin!
I'm running my second 5k in Seattle this weekend (just finished week 8 of couch to 5k and ran 3 miles twice this week), hope the rain stays away and I actually plan to run this one in its entirety, we'll see how I do on the nice steep hill at mile 2...
I am running my first Half Marathon on Saturday - The Crystal Coast Half. I am so nervous. I had so much trouble sleeping last night that I fear I won't sleep at all on Friday night. Good luck to all the other racers this weekend!
Morgan, my Virtual Daughter, you will ROCK Gasparilla! Sending you love and hugs, girl! (Keeping my germs at home, though...LOL)
Megan, Yay! Good luck with the Rock n Roll Mardi Gras...how exciting! I'm thinking about running the Rock n Roll Las Vegas in December...interested?? :-)
Amanda, You ARE simply AMAZING! Baby should be due fairly soon?? And you're running still? You go, dynamo! Be careful, safe running, and cross another state off your list - that's one of my goals, too, by the way!
Shelley! Glow sticks! Need I say more? How totally F-U-N that will be! Have a great time and enjoy your very first 5K...woo hoo!
Alison, you will ROCK that hill in mile 2 and never look back! Stay dry and have fun!
rubber7soul, Your first half?? How exciting! Try not to be toooo nervous (you might get an hour of sleep..ha ha!), have fun, and remember: Start Slow. Finish Strong.
OMG!! See how many friends and races I would have missed? I hope you guys like this new & improved format as much as I do .... now we get to read about everybody's races WITHOUT MISSING ANYONE! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!
ROCK your races, you guys! You'll be amazing! Looking forward to race recaps. Feel free to send links in comments next Thursday.
Big racing HUGS to each of you!
Kathy/FL: one week and counting for our Half Mary: DPH, here we come!
~ Robin
Oh I wish I could be a princess this year...but alas I will be TRAPPED in the snowy mountains of Colorado...
Hugs!!
Well, I wasn't going to race this weekend, but I'm really intrigued by the UjENA 5K in Cancun. Supposedly it is a model and photographer fun run. I'd totally do it, but the fee is $200 (pesos; about $16USD) and normally a 10K here is $10-40 (pesos; about 0.80-$3.20 USD) and even 21Ks and marathons cost around $100 (pesos; about $8USD). So $16USD is HUGE for only a 5K. But, check the link - just going for the photography might be worth it. :)

Carribbean Kathy (my new name for you, since we have two Kathys on the Turtles blog!)... your race excites the photographer in me... very cool! Oh, and yes, I'd HAPPILY bring you new shoes!!!
