The Bucket List: Running-Style

Do you have a Bucket List?

Did you happen to see the movie?  It's one of my all-time favorites.  I could watch it  (and cry) 100 more times(!).  If you haven't seen it, I  encourage you  to, with its  beautiful story and powerful message.  Watch this short  trailer  about two men who learn they are dying and the pact they make:

A few months ago, I started my own (running) Bucket List.  It currently looks like this.....

1.    Run in every U.S. state.
2.    Run in Canada.
3.    Run a half marathon in: BostonChicago,  NYC, and Washington, D.C.
4.    Run the Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon, in honor of my uncles, Vietnam vets.
5.    Run the Keys100.
6.    Run Dipsea.
7.    Help one person find the joy in running.
8.    Make a difference in the life of a teenager.
9.    Create some cool stuff* related to running, including books.
10.  Get published.

Do you have a Running Bucket List?
What would you put on yours?

Own your journey.  One run at a time.

The best part of my bucket list are the things I have crossed off. You should post this in a tab...and as you do them, cross em off. Great things you want to do, I hope they all happen :)

That running in 50 states is pretty neat!

My bucket list right now is just to run again like I used to.

What an awesome list! Hopefully, I'll see you in DC this year at the Marine Corps? That's the marathon I'm doing.

OK, so I see the Historic Half is at a different time then the Marine Corps Marathon - Oh, well! I'm sure our running paths will cross eventually!

Great list! I think Dipsea would be a blast too! One of my bucket lists items related to running is being a pacer in a marathon.

So happy there is some one else with a running bucket list...I googled the top 10K's in the country and my bucket list is to run in all of them...so far I have run in the Peachtree Road Race and the Cooper River Bridge 10K!

Thanks, guys!

Jill, t/y for the suggestion. Noted and done. :-) A few are already in progress, so look for items to be crossed off over the next couple of months!

Lori, sending you 'feel better' hugs from Orlando!

Ask Wifey, yes, eventually, I'm certain our running paths will cross. I look forward to that day! :)

Ashley, def Boston in Oct 2011!

MZ, being a pacer would be awesome!!

Alison, OMGosh!!! Yes, insane comes to mind. Looking forward to hearing about THAT adventure. Wow! Hardcore. :)

FitandForty... Bikes in Italy - LOVE that!!!!

HUGS to each of you... thanks for the comments! I'm already planning races for the next 18 months. Yay!

Leelee and AppleC,

Apparently, we three were writing a comment at the same time.. cool!

Leelee, how many TOP 10Ks are there? I love the idea, and that you can already cross two off your list. Great distance and awesome goal! :)

AppleC, thanx for your comment! :)
