Monday Motivation - Week 19 Feel the Burn!

A little running humor today.....

Running is like mouthwash;
if you can feel the burn, it's working.

Do you feel the burn?

I got my "burn on" this past week as I added stairs to my daily routine...
definitely impacting my running in a positive way!

Burn baby, burn
is what I was thinking as I clutched
each cheek to massage the tight muscles ... LOL!
Do you think anyone noticed?

Way too often, I feel the burn. But in the end, it's all good.

This comment kinda counts for your last 4 posts since I just now caught up on everything (I Know, shame shame shame).

I always heard that running is like whiskey, if you can feel the burn it's working :D Mouthwash is a little more family friendly though.

Thanks for that very informative post on heart-healthiness. I don't think there's an age too young to be taking care of your heart. It really catches up to you later on.

Great job on your night run! I ahve trouble running at night cause I feel like it's still too hot! I've been running in the mornings but the humidity is so thick I feel like I'm breathing in water :( I got back from my 5:30am run the other day and had all these little water droplets on me at the end. Weird....

You're doing such a great job! Keep it up!

p.s. I don't think anyone noticed the butt massage ;)

Awesome.
Loving your blog.

I am THAT girl. The one who has no problem running a marathon. But sounds like she's about to die after three flights of stairs. You swear it works?!? ;)

AppleC, I know you run as hard as I DON'T(!)... ha ha. :)

Lauren, you crack me up! I know... i ran the parking garage the other morning - several times - before sunrise - and the humidity soaked me. Whew!

Emz, thanks so much for dropping by the Turtles blog. YES, I swear it works! In fact, I've already started to become a bit of a novelty to my coworker who sees me heading for the stairs every two hours. She waits to see how fast I'll make it up the four flights AND how hard (or not) I'm breathing. Yes, I'm breathing hard (and sometimes holding my butt cheeks...LOL)

Hey, Robin! You are working out, BIG TIME and Chicago in September? Sounds fun! Are you doing the full or half marathon?
Missed your blog, I've been a slacker, sorry!
Hugs to you...
