TGIF! Summer Reading and Weekend Events: What's on Your Agenda?

Happy Friday!

Found a few minutes to go here yesterday ....

and get a *few* of these .....

(I went with a list of five books. You see how THAT worked out.)

to go along with these that I already had at home
(waiting to be read or finished!)....

(Thank  you Barnes & Noble, Borders, AND Amazon.com!)

Yay!

Commence
summer
reading,
writing,
researching,
creating.

Woo Hoo!

Do you like to read?
Do you make time to read?
Bookstores, library, or online buying?

And now back to our
regularly scheduled programming....

Good luck runners and triathletes this weekend!
Lots of events and training going on...

The Turtle Runner will be heading out
with her new/old training group for another six-miler.
Let's hope this one proves more successful than last weekend's.
LOL

What's on your agenda?

Happy running, friends....

LOL - that looks exactly like one of my trips to the library. I love to sit when I get home with the pile around me, almost like Christmas morning :D

Love, Love Love to read!! My newest way to get in more reading ( because time is at a minimum) is the Kindle and Barnes and Noble Apps for my IPhone. I always have my phone with me , so I tend to read more ( in the grocery line, etc).....Love it!!

I go into the library with a canvas tote bag and cram it full of books - then, as Lori puts it - it's like Christmas! I love reading...in fact, another trip to the library is in order. :)

I love to read, but have been neglecting it lately. This is why I am enjoying the bus and the dedicated time to catch up on my reading. I rarely buy books anymore, unless they are something I can use for reference later, because I don't read books more than once and I'm trying to keep clutter to a minimum.

@Lori ~ I was actually thinking of you when I wrote this post this morning... I remember reading your posts about trips to the library, and always think, "That's me!" Yes, it IS like Chrismas, isn't it? Maybe better in some ways! As I'm writing this, I have those two stacks on either side of me. I'm a dork, I know. :)

@BRM ~ haven't moved into 21st century reading yet. I kinda prefer 'old school' for lots of things, though I use the 'Net a LOT to read.

@Shelley ~ canvas bag here, too! I took the little book babies out for their blog picture, but they were crammed into (and overflowing from) a sturdy canvas bag. Love it! Let us know what you get!

@Kitzzy ~ I hear ya'! I use mine for reference (read very little/almost no fiction), and weed them out every few yrs. I've cut way back on my book buying, and love our library (right around the corner from both of us!), but I still buy them w/ coupons, on sale, on discount, and love amazon.com. Then, I donate them to the library for the semi-annual book sales OR to a shelter, doctor's office, senior living home, etc... Hopelessly addicted and willing to share. :)

I like to read - but don't often MAKE time for it.

Currently I am reading Bart Yasso "My Life on the Run" - need I say more and Michael Lewis "The Big Short" which is a great read about the 2008 stock market crash.

Both great books.

I am on vacation today - reading a little - blogging a little.

Overall - Life is Good Day. !!!!!

I love to read and have a couple thousand books at home (no not exaggerating) I read and re-read the sci-fi fantasy ones and most of the rest are for reference on about 100 subjects :P
The down side of reading about 100 pages an hour is that books don't last very long :(

I always find time to read, always have. Can't go to sleep without reading a book. I carry books everywhere in case I am caught and need to fill time. I have been carrying one for the Metro here in DC.Works like a charm. I like to have a lot of books to choose from. Even when I travel I bring more than I will read so I can choose.

I love books... I have a stack waiting for me to read as well. I especially like motivational books. I wish my summers were a little less hectic, but to me they are just as busy as the rest of my year.
