TGIF! What's on YOUR Mind?

Whew! We've made it through another week....
TGIF!

It's also the end of another school year
(give or take a week or so) for many of us who've
made education our career.

Yay!!!!
I *heart* summer vacation!
I noticed from reading your blogs, tweets, and FB posts,
it's also the end of a school career for many of your children
Congratulations to the class of 2010.....

From the littlest guys

(Aren't they cute?)

To our grown-up 'babies'

And their parents!

School years are always exciting to me...
(Finishing my 16th year in the profession...where does the time go???)
A fresh chance at new beginnings in the fall
An opportunity to bring closure to a year in the summer,
one that may have brought challenges, along with successes....

a natural ebb and flow in life

Working in a district office distorts that ebb and flow greatly
but I'm determined to keep that
student-centered, cyclical, enthusiastic feeling,
because it truly is a joyous feeling....

a school year
and
summer vacation

Happy Summer to my fellow educators
and
Happy Graduation to my friends
with youngsters (big or small)

making that next life transition...

Oh, The Places (They'll) Go!

What's on YOUR mind this week?

I love that book!

Enjoy your summer vacation! I have been on mine for the last week (although summer teaching starts soon) and it has been a blast! Any plans?

I cried at the fifth grade clap-out at the elementary school I serve...and none of the kids were mine. Just excited about the new adventure that begins for them in middle school.

My mind is thinking about the last few days of school and beginning summer vacation!

My mind is feeling good that I resisted temptation tonight. Feeling sad that one of my best friends is moving. Feeling committed to exercising tomorrow.
Happy Weekend.
