Happy Friday!
Do you recognize this guy??
Of course you do!
Did you know the first Friday in October is designated
in honor of the smiley face created in
1963
by commercial artist,
Harvey Ball
?
In 1999, the day was officially deemed a
day to celebrate
'good will and good cheer'
around the world.
Here in Orlando, yours truly will be taking part in a
to break the record for the
World's Largest Smiley Face.
Now, go out there and help one person SMILE!
What will YOU do?
.
.
.
.
.
And when World Smile Day ends,
race day
will begin
for friends all over the world.
Here in Orlando,
I'd like to send a shout-out to my buddy,
MJ, over at Girl Running,
and wish her a
FANTASTIC
first-ever half marathon
this weekend as she tackles
the inaugural Disney Wine and Dine event,
an evening race through the parks.
Woo Hoo!
You go, girl!
The Turtle Runner and Hubs may even get out there
to
spectate,
cheer,
and enjoy the
all in the name of supporting the runners, of course!
..... a different kind of 'volunteering'!
(Joanne, this is YOUR kind of event!)
And a great big
'YOU ROCK!'
to our blogging friend
who will be participating in her
very first 10-mile race.
Go get 'em, Shelley!
(She'll be looking cute in her new race day outfit, I'm sure!)
Whatever you're doing, have a wonderful weekend!
Happy running, friends....
Robin

Happy Race Day to everyone racing today!!
Thank you Robin! I'm so excited for the race tonight. If you end up 'spectating' tonight or 'celebrating' tomorrow in Epcot please call me and let me know! I want to say hi and give you a big hug! Did you go to the new amway yesterday for the smile event? I heard it was amazing, and you're just the person to do it, you always bring smiles to everyone.
